  • Horizons Regional Council approved a significant project to transition from shared network drive folders to a PRA-compliant records management system. Before this transition could take place, several foundational workstreams needed to be completed in areas where Evan’s expertise and guidance proved invaluable.

In particular, Evan played a crucial role in:

    • Updating our Retention and Disposal Schedule, ensuring it aligned with best practices and legal requirements.
    • Providing expert advice on the archiving and lawful destruction of records.
    • Leading the completion of our Information Management Maturity Assessment, helping to establish a clear understanding of our current state and the steps needed for future improvement.

His contributions laid the groundwork for a successful implementation of our new records management approach and ensured we remain compliant with the Public Records Act (PRA).
